Welcome to the North East Mental Health Development Unit website

The North East Mental Health Development Unit was established on 1st April 2009.  Our role is to facilitate service development and improvement, and support the implementation of national policy at a regional and local level.  We work with a wide range of organisations to promote better outcomes for people who use mental health services and their carers.

The Unit is funded by the NHS, works across the whole of the North East region, and is hosted by County Durham Primary Care Trust. Read more in `About Us`
