This month has seen NEMHDU commissioned by NHS North East to continue supporting the development of mental health services for veterans, as well as working with the Clinical Innovation Team for Mental Health to support implementation and progression of the national mental health strategy, No Health without Mental Health. Read more about both of these pieces of work in our February Newsletter.

January 2012

We have been commissioned by the Social Inclusion Programme within NHS North East and the Department of Health Social Care Team to provide a service user and carer leadership development programme within the North East. This follows previous successful leadership development programmes, delivered and developed in partnership with Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust and Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Trust.  The programme aims to increase capacity and capability amongst service users and carers to ensure they are able to actively participate in the development, commissioning and monitoring of services.
