Review of serious incidents relating to patients on leave

We have been working with a MH Trust in Northern England to carry out a review of serious incidents relating to patients on leave from in-patient care. The thematic review has looked at information against key criteria, agreed with senior clinicians from the Trust. The process has allowed an objective independent review of the incidents, providing the Trust with a report of findings and recommendations to take forward.

Review of Service User Involvement in Adult Mental Health Services

We are delighted to be working with Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust to carry out a review of service user involvement in adult mental health services across the Tees Valley and Durham localities.  Working in partnership with North East together and using a mix of desk-top and field research, we will map out what methods of engagement and involvement of mental health service users currently exist to inform options for future development.

Tees Region Crisis Care

NEMHDU has begun a 6 month project supporting the Tees region with the implementation of their crisis care concordat action plan. The crisis care concordat is a national initiative which, in essence, mandates a commitment from regional services involved in supporting people in a mental health crisis to work together to improve access to crisis services, integrate service delivery, improve the experience of care and to develop preventative services to reduce the buden on crisis services.
