New NEMHDU Launched; November 2011

In November 2011 two members of the former NHS-funded North East Mental Health Development Unit set up a new social enterprise - the North of England Mental Health Development Unit - read Issue 1 of the 'New NEMHDU' newsletter for more information.

NEMHDU Closure; October 2011

In December 2010, North East Primary Care Chief Executives took the decision that the North East Mental Health Development Unit would wind down during 2011/12, in line with other regional development centres around the country, and in light of the fact that NHS funding would cease from March 2012. 

Business priorities were agreed up to an agreed closure date of 31 October 2011 and the Closure Report outlines the work of the Development Unit up to that time.  It also provides contact details for those projects where work is being continued by our partners across the region.ations.
